The imperfect single terminated crystal point has just as much energy as a blemish free point. The imperfect points will have a small surface scratch, external inclusion or small chip.
The little chip on mine is right at the base, but the point itself is beautifully clear and I actually like the character it adds. I've been carrying it in my pocket daily for two weeks and the energy feels just as strong as any perfect one I've owned.
